n10 Salud Spicy Cocktail Salt / Fuego Margarita
Spain meets Mexico in this fiery concoction. Happy Cinco!
-3 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
-2 oz Patrón Silver Tequila
-1 3/4 oz simple syrup
-1 tbsp hot pepper jelly at room temp (Mrs G's Ja-Ha jelly is our fave)
-1/4 tsp The Spanish Tin n10 Salud Spicy Cocktail Salt (buy it here)
-Salud Spicy Cocktail Salt on a plate for the cocktail rim
-a slice of lime
-extra jalapeños (if you have time in advance, slice them and put them into ice mold before making ice)
Run lime wedge around rim of glass. Dip into plate of Salud Spicy Cocktail Salt and turn until well rimmed. In a cocktail shaker, combine lime juice, tequila, hot pepper jelly, 1/4 tsp cocktail salt, and ice. Shake well for at least 2-3 minutes so that the jelly mixes thoroughly. It is very helpful if the jelly is at room temperature - everything will blend more easily. Strain. Add jalapeño ice cubes, and enjoy!
